The Tech Transfer process is complex, especially when considering the wide range of technology types, inventions, inventors, and industries. However, this complexity can be condensed into roughly fifteen steps. These include: pre-disclosure interaction with inventors (and potential inventors); invention disclosure management; technology evaluation and triage; IP assessment and management; TTP/inventor team development; license strategy development; tech marketing; contacts and dialogue with potential company partners; technology valuation; negotiation and agreement drafting; and agreement monitoring.
Details of these steps are explained in this presentation.
